Dos Calaveras x Mike Farmer

Some people talk about living life fully, some people just do it. Mike Farmer has lived more lives than most. Race car driver. Designer. Business owner. Skater, surfer, offshore powerboater. He has lived the dream, seen it pay off and lost it all. He’s gone from running on fumes and loose change to buying Ferraris and back again. These days, he lives in a small beach town on Lake Michigan, working as a dock master, still chasing what moves him. Through it all, one thing has stayed consistent: he follows instinct. He’s built a life around what matters to him, whether that’s family, fashion, or getting back behind the wheel again.

We were stoked to work with Mike because he moves the same way we do. Nothing about it is performative. There is no adjustment for approval, just expression, shaped over time, and worn without hesitation. Dos Calaveras is the culmination of those experiences. One skull, two faces. A reflection of the same life seen from different perspectives. Wins and losses. Tears that come from pain and tears that come from joy. Good days and bad ones. Wins, losses. One does not exist without the other, and the way you carry it is always yours to choose.

Wear it however you want.

Dos Calaveras

There’s a certain clarity that comes from living through both ends of it.

From living the dream and having everything within reach to counting change just to keep moving. From speed and risk to stillness and responsibility, you eventually realize it all belongs to the same story.

Dos Calaveras holds that balance. One skull, two faces. One carries a grin, the other the weight of it. Dual emotions cast on opposing sides, shaped by the understanding that good days and bad ones are never far apart. The way you carry it, and what you choose to see, is always yours.

"The inspiration behind this piece is life. We have good days and bad days, happy/sad, winner/loser, tears of pain and tears of joy. If we didn't know one, we wouldn't know the other. In addition, the comedy/tragedy masks have always been an inspiration to me. I am hoping customers can relate to this piece, and realize we can flip the narrative if we want to. When they wear it, and if they are having a bad day, hopefully they will remember that a good day is just on the other side." - Mike Farmer
