Beautiful ring, completely in love with the weight and the detail. Definitely going to be in the regular jewelry rotation. When i look at it, it reminds me of New Orleans, a very special place to me.

This was my first time buying a C&C ring since around 2017. Back then, they gave you the option to choose sterling silver or a cheaper stainless steel version for their rings, with a disclaimer that there may be lesser quality/detail in the steel rings. I miss having the steel option because it was cheaper and I beat the hell out of my rings because I wear them all the time (I also really miss the original round "Captain" ring design with the ship steering wheel on the face of the ring and the little diver helmet on the sides, I lost mine years ago on tour and I wish you guys would bring it back someday because it was the coolest). Anyways, so I ordered this Everglade design which I'd had my eye on for a while and when it arrived, I will admit I was kinda disappointed to see that the sides of it were already scratched up and even a little bit tarnished looking as if it'd been worn already. I was able to polish the light tarnish off for the most part with a cloth, but the scratches are definitely still there. The malachite stone, while beautiful, does look slightly dinged up as well. That was the first thing I noticed but didn't think much of it as stones naturally can have imperfections, but then I realized the small knicks in the stone were on the same side as the scratches on the metal casing part of the ring.
