I was surprised how much more oval the design was in person than it appears in the pictures. It causes the moon to be much more elongated and strangely shaped than I expected -- almost to the point that I didn't like it at first. The ring has a decent heft, and it appears finely crafted -- it's a good ring, but be aware that the actual image on the ring does not appear quite like it does in the pictures.
